16 Hour MD Handgun Safety Course and Qualification Course of Fire

The approved MD firearm safety training course is offered by a MD Qualified Handgun Instructor and will include instruction on state firearm law, home firearm safety, handgun mechanisms and operation, and a component that requires the applicant to demonstrate gun safety and Civilian qualification course of fire (COF) proficiency with a minimum score rating of 70%.

Designated certified private law enforcement (security guards, armored car guards, special police, and corrections must shoot a practical police course of at least 50 rounds, from no further than 25 yards with a minimum score of least 70%.

Classes are offered

Part I: Monday, Saturday, and Sunday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Part II: Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Registration fees are non-refundable. Credit may be applied towards any future course or service of the same value offered by IOTA Firearms and Security Training Academy, Inc., within a 4-month period.

If you are a Veteran you are exempt from taking this course.  You are, however, required to apply and meet the good and substantial reason to apply for a handgun permit.
